Phil's career, spanning over 30 years, is a well-rounded one based in core retailing, retail property marketing, management and leasing.  This somewhat unique background mixture was the key to Phil establishing a consultancy business specifically for Retailers 13 years ago.

Advantage Retail Management (ARM) was formed in 1997 to directly address the inequities in retail property relationships between Shopping Centre landlords primarily and Retailers.

In 2005 a new direction was undertaken and ARM was re-positioned as LEASE1 and continues today as one of Australia's leading Retail Shop Lease Consultants.

Phillip has been directly responsible for changes to shop lease legislation in favour of Retailers for over 10 years now and The Registrar Retail Shop Leases has deemed Phillip A Chapman a recognised "Professional Advocate for Retailers."
